Judi Foster has earned Signature Membership in the Society of Layerists in Multi-Media (SLMM) the Taos National Society of Watercolorists and the New Mexico Watercolor Society. She is a University of Connecticut Cum Laude Graduate with majors in Fine Art and Advertising, having been on the SLMM 25th Anniversary Convention Planning Committee and currently serving on the Master Works of New Mexico Steering Committee. Judi Foster is currently publishd in Marquis' Who's Who in America, 2019 Edition and her painting, “Cactus Stickers” is featured on the cover of the New Mexico Women in Business Directory, 25th Anniversary publication.

Using Contemporary Abstraction to represent Realism, my paintings are expressive and convey my personality. In them I project the spirit and energy of the American Southwest. I allow my underpainting to dictate the final result. Veils of color and texture, both transparent and opaque, create a mood – a feeling of place and space. By expressing my mind, I hope to connect my feelings with those of the viewer in an emotional manner. Through my work I reflect my perception of life.
