Alison Thomas - Mixed Media Resin

BIO

Alison was born and raised in Northwest Florida.  She received her environmental engineering degree from the University of Florida and her graduate technical management degree from Johns Hopkins University.  In 2007, Alison moved to Albuquerque with her husband where they still reside with their Weimaraner dogs and an Appaloosa horse.  Passionate about the beauty and nuances of glass, she began working with fused glass when she moved to Albuquerque.

Using glass in a totally different direction, she started incorporating repurposed glass into her mixed media resin art.  From there, Alison began creating abstract resin art.  Resin adds an illusion of depth and a glass-like layer to her art.
