Britt Gallagher - Acrylic, Oil

My paintings are subjective and spontaneous imaginings that are largely - though not always - untethered to any worldly purpose or message. I avoid stark lines and dark themes. I try to avoid dogma. I emphasize color and light in order to dial-up the levity and bring cheer to myself as I paint. 

Artist Bio

I am a self-taught painter who by this point paints almost exclusively in oils.Though much of my childhood was spent in the Deep South (Mississippi), I have lived most of my life in the beautiful state of New Mexico. I have painted for as long as I can remember, but my current style evolved in about 2015. The collection of paintings listed on my website, brittgallagher.com, has works dating back to 2016. I live with my muse and our two cats.
