Biography
Daniel García is a distinguished fine art photographer based in New Mexico, with 50 years of photographic expression and career experience. Born into a multi-generational family of New Mexicans and raised in Colorado, Daniel's photography journey began early in his life and was further honed during his military service as a Naval Photographer. His career then expanded into industrial imaging, all providing a robust, life-long foundation for his artistic endeavors leading up to today.
Artist Statement
I strive to create beautiful images that tell a story and represent an important moment in time.
In addition to my technical photography education, I dedicate significant time to studying artistic approaches and collaborating with fellow artists. I am greatly influenced by photographers from the 1940s to today's stylists and frequently work with fashion designers, sculptors, and commissioning clients. My travels have taken me worldwide, but I now focus on capturing special places and moments throughout the American Southwest. My artistic style and photojournalistic approach allow me to find both unique and common artwork.
I also teach and mentor aspiring photographers, from beginners to advanced students, through presentations and on-location photography events. I combine technical aspects with the artistic storytelling approach to educate what meaningful photography can become for students.
