Sandra Baca

Biography

I'm a native New Mexican and have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of New Mexico. After college I lived in Europe for a few years, then returned to New Mexico and pursued a career in advertising.  

Since 1992 I have been a full-time artist and have also taught watercolor and composition.  My work is included in both private and corporate collections.I became interested in beads in the mid 80’s. The beauty, historical, and cultural importance evoked such love for beads that I have been working and designing with them ever since. I feel the most beautiful aspect of any wearable art is the personal made public.

My necklaces and earrings sell under the label Sandra’s Beads. I use semi-precious stones, glass, amber, antique pieces, ethic pieces and antique beads in my work. I also enjoy traveling the county to find quality beads and unusual pieces.​​​
