Artist Statement
Rebecca creates evocative textile works rooted in time, transformation and the poetry of resilience. Working in wool, felt and in vintage linens and cotton fabrics she layers histories-both intangible and ephemeral-into very piece. Her practice combines traditional hand felt making with experimental dye processes, including rust dying, indigo dipping and tannin staining with walnut hulls, a process she calls "Stain Painting."
What emerges is a body of work that feels unearthed rather than made-organic forms and abstracted landscapes that speak to memory, erosion and resilience. The surfaces are weathered, softened by age and burnished by intention. No two are alike. Her textiles hold space for for the elemental and the intimate.
Collectors are drawn to the depth and tactile qualities of her work-the quiet complexity of her palette, the tensions between fragility and structure. Galleries value her sustainable approach, her reverence for materials and the visceral, emotional pull of her pieces.
Rebecca invites you to slow down, to look closer and to feel what fabric can carry: stories, stains, silence, survival.
